I am a patient and methodical tutor who enjoys helping A Level students feel more confident with maths. I know the jump from GCSE can feel big, so I focus on building a solid understanding of the key topics. Having supported many sixth formers, I tailor each lesson to your course and exam board. I aim to help you tackle tricky problems, improve your exam technique and feel more prepared for assessments. I work at a pace that suits you, always making sure you feel comfortable asking questions along the way.
My A Level lessons are designed around your syllabus, current targets and the areas you find hardest. I usually begin by going over any classwork or questions that have come up, then focus on the topics that are causing the most difficulty. I break down complex ideas into manageable steps, explaining the reasoning behind methods rather than just showing answers.
We then work through carefully chosen examples, gradually building up to more challenging exam-style problems. I place a strong emphasis on understanding the logic, as this helps with problem-solving across topics.
As exams approach, I focus more on past paper practice, timed questions and marking feedback to sharpen your technique. I also help with revision planning, making sure your time is spent where it will have the most impact.
Between sessions, I can set short, targeted tasks to reinforce what we have covered. My aim is always to create a relaxed environment where you can test ideas and clear up uncertainties. I track your progress closely and adapt our plan to match your goals. By the end of each lesson, you will leave with greater clarity and a clear next step.
