By accessing this website, booking a lesson, creating an account or using any Mixt Academy Malaysia service, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
If you are booking on behalf of a student under 18, you confirm that you are the student’s parent, legal guardian, or authorised representative.
2. Our Services
Mixt Academy Malaysia provides online tutoring, trial lessons, tutor matching, academic progress reporting, learning resources and related support services.
We may offer tutoring for SPM, IGCSE, GCSE, A-Level, STPM, UEC, IB, and other qualifications depending on tutor availability and student needs.
3. Registration and Student Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when submitting enquiry forms, booking sessions, or communicating with our team.
You are responsible for keeping your contact details up to date so that lesson reminders, reports, billing information and academic updates can be delivered correctly.
4. Fees, Payments, and Billing
Lesson fees are communicated before confirmation. Prices may vary based on curriculum, tutor experience, qualification level, urgency, and lesson frequency.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you must pay before the scheduled lesson or in accordance with the billing schedule provided by Mixt Academy Malaysia.
All prices shown on the website are indicative and may be updated without prior notice. Confirmed bookings will follow the quoted price at the time of confirmation.
5. Free Trial Lessons
A free trial lesson, where offered, is intended to assess the student’s needs, introduce the tutor and determine whether the learning arrangement is suitable.
Mixt Academy Malaysia may decline or limit free trials where requests are duplicated, misleading, submitted in bad faith or otherwise misuse the trial offer.
6. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows
Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.
If a student does not attend a confirmed session without notice, the lesson may be treated as completed and may not be refundable.
Where a tutor is unavailable due to illness, emergency, or technical issues, Mixt Academy Malaysia will arrange a replacement tutor, reschedule the lesson, or provide an appropriate credit.
7. Student, Parent, and Tutor Conduct
All users must behave respectfully during lessons, messages, calls, and any interaction with our tutors or support team. Harassment, abusive language, discrimination, inappropriate content, recording without permission, or attempts to bypass Mixt Academy Malaysia’s booking system are not permitted.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to services if conduct is unsafe, dishonest, abusive, or disruptive.
8. Technology Requirements
Students are responsible for having a stable internet connection, working audio, a suitable device, and a quiet learning environment.
Mixt Academy Malaysia is not responsible for missed learning time caused by the student’s device issues, local internet problems, or software restrictions outside our control.
9. Lesson Recordings and Learning Materials
We may record lessons for safeguarding, quality assurance, revision, and progress tracking. By using our services, you consent to reasonable recording practices where applicable.
Notes, worksheets, recordings, quizzes, lesson plans, and portal resources remain the intellectual property of Mixt Academy Malaysia or the relevant tutor unless stated otherwise.
You may use learning materials for personal study only. Sharing, selling, publishing, copying, or distributing materials without written permission is prohibited.
10. Academic Results and Guarantees
We aim to build confidence, improve subject understanding, and strengthen exam readiness. However, academic results depend on attendance, effort, starting level, lesson frequency, exam conditions, and other factors beyond our control.
Any success rates, testimonials, or grade improvement examples are illustrative and do not guarantee identical outcomes for every student.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
We collect and use personal information to provide tutoring services, process bookings, manage payments, send updates, improve quality, and comply with legal or safeguarding responsibilities.
By using our services, you agree that we may handle your information according to our privacy policy. We take reasonable steps to protect personal data but cannot guarantee absolute security over the internet.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mixt Academy Malaysia is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses arising from the use or inability to use our services.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. We will post updated terms on this page with a revised effective date.
Continued use of our website or services after we publish changes means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing Law
The laws of Malaysia govern these Terms, unless a mandatory law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
