A Level exams can be challenging, especially when small gaps cost marks. Our online A Level tutors support students across Malaysia studying Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel. One-to-one lessons follow the relevant syllabus, strengthen AS and A2 topics, improve written responses and build exam technique. We also use past papers and mark schemes to improve exam technique and prepare students for assessments.

We support Cambridge International AS & A Level and Pearson Edexcel International AS/A Level across major subjects. These qualifications differ in syllabus structure, assessment timing, and paper requirements, so the tutor first checks the exact board and subject. Lessons then use the correct specification, past papers and mark schemes rather than general A Level materials.
Cambridge International A Level commonly allows students to take AS as a standalone qualification or use it as a stage towards the full A Level. Pearson Edexcel International A Level is modular, with units you can take across different exam series. Because assessment structure and resit options differ, tuition should follow the exact board and specification.
AS Level is usually the first stage of A Level study. A2 describes the more advanced content completed after AS; it is not normally a standalone qualification. For Cambridge, the full A Level combines AS with the more demanding A2 content. Pearson Edexcel International A Level also uses an IAS and A2 structure through modular units.
Mixt Academy Malaysia supports Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Psychology, Law, English, History, Geography and selected languages. Availability may vary by exam board and subject. If your child is taking several A Levels, we can arrange tutors for different subjects and structure lessons around college work, mocks, and exam dates.
Yes, we first check the exam board, subject and syllabus or specification your child is studying. For Cambridge students, this may include codes such as Mathematics 9709, Biology 9700, Chemistry 9701 or Physics 9702. Lessons can then follow current college topics while also covering the exact assessment objectives and papers needed for the final examination.
Past papers help identify weak topics, missing working, and the types of questions costing your child marks. Tutors explain command words, examiner expectations and how mark schemes reward each step of an answer. As exams approach, students can practise timed sections or full papers to improve accuracy, depth, calculation methods, essay structure and time management.
Yes, Mixt Academy Malaysia can support students preparing to resit Pearson Edexcel International A Level units, or to repeat and complete Cambridge papers, where the relevant exam-entry rules allow. The tutor checks previous results, weak topics and the next exam series before planning lessons. Examination entry is separate from tuition, so students should confirm resit and entry rules with their school or approved centre.
Yes, online A Level tutors can help private candidates and homeschooled students organise the syllabus, study individual subjects, practise past papers and plan revision around their intended exam series. Tuition does not include examination registration. Students must arrange entry through a suitable approved centre and should confirm available subjects, practical requirements, deadlines and candidate rules directly with that centre.
Subject choices should match both your child’s strengths and the entry requirements for courses they may want to study later. Degrees such as medicine, engineering, economics or computer science can have specific subject expectations. We can support the subjects your child chooses, but families should check current university requirements before finalising an A Level combination.
A Levels and STPM are both pre-university routes, but they follow different systems. Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel A Levels allow students to specialise in fewer subjects, while STPM follows Malaysia’s national pre-university structure. Assessment, subject combinations, costs, and university routes can vary, so the best choice depends on the student’s plans and learning preferences.
Online A-Level tuition at Mixt Academy Malaysia starts at RM60 per hour. One weekly lesson may suit a student who needs support in a single subject, while two or more sessions can help with larger gaps, resits or exam preparation. We consider the current grade, target grade, subjects, exam board and examination date before suggesting a lesson schedule.
