Languages I know
I am a methodical tutor who helps A Level history students improve their grades. I understand how demanding sixth form can be, so I focus on making topics easier to follow and essays more manageable. My goal is always to help you feel more prepared and in control of your learning.
My sessions are shaped around your syllabus and the topics you find hardest. I usually start by talking through what you want to focus on, then go over any problems from class or recent essay feedback.
I explain things clearly, breaking big periods and themes into smaller, easier pieces. We then practise together, working from shorter tasks up to full essay-style questions. I pay close attention to how you build your arguments and use evidence, helping you avoid common mistakes and write more convincingly.
As the year goes on, I place more focus on timed essay practice, past paper questions and detailed feedback to build your exam confidence. I also help with planning your revision, so you know exactly where to spend your time.
Between lessons, I can set focused tasks to back up what we have done. I aim to keep things relaxed so you feel comfortable testing your ideas. I monitor your progress carefully and change our plan to suit what is working best. By the end of each session, you will have a stronger grasp of the topic and a clear next step.
