I am an easy-going tutor who enjoys helping GCSE students get on top of biology. I know the subject can feel like a mountain of facts, so I focus on making everything simple and well organised. My lessons are always matched to how you learn best and the pace that suits you. Having worked with many learners, I build your trust bit by bit. My goal is to help you feel ready and relaxed going into your exams.
My lessons are built around the topics you find most difficult. I usually start by chatting about what is worrying you, whether it is enzymes, the nervous system, ecology or genetics.
I then explain each topic in plain, simple words, using everyday examples so the ideas actually make sense instead of just being memorised. We work through questions together, starting gently and moving towards harder exam-style questions as your confidence grows.
Biology exams also test maths skills like percentages, ratios and reading graphs, so we practise those too, because they are easy marks once you know how. I cover the required practicals carefully so you can describe what happened and why.
As exams get closer, we switch to past papers, learning what mark schemes want and how to structure longer answers.
Between sessions, I set small tasks to keep your memory fresh. I keep the mood relaxed so you always feel comfortable saying when something is unclear. I track how you are doing and change our focus when needed. By the end of each lesson, you will understand more and have a simple plan for what comes next.
