I am a patient and thoughtful tutor who helps A Level students feel more confident with history. I know the step up from GCSE can feel big, with longer essays, more detailed arguments and wider reading, so I focus on building strong skills from the start. My goal is to keep things clear and supportive throughout.
My A Level lessons are planned around your syllabus and the areas you find most difficult. I usually begin by going over any classwork or essay feedback that has come up, then focus on the topics that need the most attention.
I help you break down complex events and ideas into clearer parts, making it easier to form your own arguments and write stronger essays. We work through practice questions together, building up gradually to full past-paper answers.
I focus on helping you use evidence well, structure your points clearly and write with confidence under timed conditions. As exams approach, I spend more time on past paper practice, essay planning and marking feedback to help you sharpen your technique.
I also help with revision planning, so your time goes where it matters most. Between sessions, I can set short tasks to keep things moving. My aim is always to keep lessons relaxed so you feel able to ask anything.
I track your progress carefully and adjust what we focus on as needed. By the end of each lesson, you will leave with a better understanding and a clear idea of what to do next.
