I am an expert tutor who supports IB students across both English literature and language and literature courses. I understand the unique challenges of the IB, from balancing multiple deadlines to mastering close analysis. My aim is always to create a supportive space where you can work steadily towards your target grade at a pace that suits you.
My sessions are tailored to your specific IB course, level and current priorities. I usually begin by identifying the areas you would most like to focus on, including any upcoming work on your internal assessment.
I help you develop strong analytical skills, guiding you through close reading of texts and helping you shape thoughtful, well-structured essays. We practise past paper questions to improve your exam technique with timed responses.
For the internal assessment, I support you in selecting an appropriate focus, refining your argument, organising your writing and meeting the IB assessment criteria. I also help with revision planning to ensure you cover all texts and topics in good time while balancing other subjects.
Between lessons, I set focused, manageable tasks to reinforce your learning. My lessons are relaxed and paced to suit your needs, with plenty of time for questions.
I track your progress across all areas and adjust our focus as deadlines approach. By the end of each session, you will feel clearer about your work and confident about your next steps.
